Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ConHaven (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

ConHaven helps users discover anime conventions across the United States, and will soon add Artist Alley application deadline tracking and a paid subscription tier (“ConHaven Pro”) with additional features.
The Service is available for personal use by individual attendees, as well as for convention organizers, artists, and vendors who use it to discover, claim, or manage listing information. It is not limited to non-commercial use.
Convention data is sourced from convention organizers and public information.
We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all details are current — see “Data Accuracy” below.

Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

Subscriptions & Billing (ConHaven Pro)

ConHaven Pro is a paid subscription tier. The following terms apply once paid subscriptions are available:

Billing is processed securely through Stripe; we never store your full card details.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal, effective at the end of the current billing period. There is no long-term contract or cancellation fee.
Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

User-Submitted Content

When convention organizers, artists, or other users submit or correct listing information (event details, dates, descriptions, corrections, or claims to a listing), they grant ConHaven a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, edit, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. Submitters represent that they have the right to share the information they submit and that it is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Data Accuracy

Event details, dates, prices, and other convention information displayed on ConHaven are sourced from convention organizers and public sources, and may change without notice. ConHaven is not responsible for convention cancellations, date changes, or other inaccuracies. Always verify event details directly with the official convention before making travel or purchase plans.

“Verified” Badge Disclaimer

A “Verified” badge on a listing means only that a person who demonstrated control of that convention's official channels claimed the listing. It is not an endorsement by ConHaven, and it does not guarantee that the event will occur, that it will be safe, or that any specific detail on the listing is accurate.

DMCA / Intellectual Property

If you believe content on ConHaven infringes your intellectual property rights, contact our designated agent through our contact page with a description of the material, its location on the Service, and your contact information. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material.

Limitation of Liability

ConHaven is not responsible for convention cancellations or changes.
Always verify event details on official convention websites before attending.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConHaven's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $0 if you used only the free tier.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any conduct we believe is harmful to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription and request account deletion at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING STATE — TO BE SET BY SITE OWNER], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
